The Element is a community of college-aged men and women who have come to be a part of a body that will empower them, educated them, challenge them and inspire them to respond to the beauty and truth of gospel of Jesus Christ. This comes through knowing God’s word, it comes through seeing godliness modeled in others and walking through life with people who can help answer questions, offer support, and give correction. The community is made up of people who have graduated high school and are now pursuing degrees, careers, or simply finding what the next step is in their life. The majority of those in our community are between the ages of 18 and 25.

As we search God’s word for direction, we desire to be honest and real when looking at the realities of our world, the cultural factors that have shaped us and the difficult stories that so many of us carry through life. We believe that the gospel is as true and relevant today as it has ever been and that the only real hope that exists in this world is through Jesus Christ. We strive to be a people of humility and service who live in recognition of grace. We desire to be renewed in our minds, our habits and our priorities. We want to grow and, as scripture promises us, to become more and more like Jesus Christ in a world that so desperately needs Him.
